PIxscribe is designed with your privacy as the top priority. All transcription happens locally on your device, and we do not collect, store, or transmit any of your voice data or transcriptions.

Local Processing

PIxscribe processes all voice transcription locally on your machine using the Whisper AI model. Your voice recordings never leave your device and are not transmitted to any external servers.

All speech recognition happens entirely on your device
No audio data is uploaded to the cloud
Transcriptions remain on your local machine
No internet connection is required for the core transcription functionality

Data Collection

PIxscribe does not collect any user data. We do not:

Store your voice recordings
Track your usage patterns
Collect personal information
Maintain user accounts or profiles
Keep logs of your activity

The only data stored on your device are your personal settings and preferences, which remain exclusively on your local machine and are never transmitted to us.

System Permissions

PIxscribe requires microphone access to function. This permission is used exclusively for capturing your voice for local transcription purposes. Additionally, accessibility permissions are required to enable PIxscribe to work across different applications on your system.

These permissions are used solely for the functionality of the app and not for data collection.

Updates

When checking for updates, PIxscribe may connect to our servers to verify if a new version is available. This process does not involve the transmission of any personal data beyond what is technically required (such as your IP address, which is not stored).
